Yes, this is his too. No we do not ever get any snow here.

Hi Everyone,

My name is Ken Long of Rochester New York. I am a member of the Can-Am Chevelle Club, A.C.E.S. and also a member of The Rochester Street Machines.

I was bit by the car bug early on. I had a cousin that had some very fast muscle cars. When I was around 10 years old he stopped over to our house with his new Hot Rod, 1962 or 63 Dodge, hemi of course. It was a factory built drag car, Remember the RAMCHARGER’s?? Extremely loud and fast. Then came the 66- 67 SS Chevelles, Corvettes, Z/28s and many more. I also had many friends around the neighborhood that were gear heads also. I had a neighbor that would bring corvettes and 55-57 Chevy’s home from the dealership he worked at so the kids in the neighborhood could wet sand the daylights out of the paint. If we did the work he would take us for slam back in the seat and hold on ride down Ridge Road .Wow!!!

I have had many cars through the years, I still can’t describe the feeling of grabbing 4 gears out of a Big Block, and how good you feel the rest of the day.

I have had this quote in my glove box for years.

Speaks volumes, doesn't it?

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in
a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside,
thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming -- WOW
......
What a Ride!"
