The car was bought in 1998, 6
cylinder, automatic, 6 volt system, it's a wonder it ran. It was
stock except for the flames. Above is the day I brought her home.
Notice the 1978 chopped top Malibu in the background, that's another
story. |
 |
This is the 6 that I rebuilt, it
ran fine until I took it to the Syracuse Nationals in 2000 and spun
a bearing on the NYS Thruway. |
 |
This is how she looked before
undergoing surgery. |
 |
We did a little welding, a little
cutting and below is what I came up with. |
 |
She now has a Firebird frame
clip, disc brakes, Ford Probe rack and pinion steering, new
wiring harness, 400 cubic Pontiac V8 with 350 turbo tranny, 2000
Ford Focus headlights, 2004 Acura 17" wheels, aluminum radiator,
bucket seats from my old 1991 Oldsmobile Silhouette and much more.

And the story goes on, in the
future look for two tone paint, the flames to return and who
knows what else.
